Meadow Brook

Self-described as “a golf experience that will keep you coming back for more,” Meadow Brook is a hidden gem in Southern New England. Its impeccable golf course and unpretentious layout are some of its most defining features and secure its place as one of the best greens near Narragansett.

The course has been in operation since 1929 and was more recently completely renovated and redeveloped by world-renowned course designers Roger Rulewich and Dave Fleury. This spectacular transformation has resulted in a course with 7400 yards of back tees with rolling fairways and elevation changes. The longest hole, #15, plays over 600 yards from the back tees and 500 from the front. No two courses are alike with expansive fairway corridors and five sets of tees. Golfers will need to use every club in their bag!

The course designers put just as much thought into the design of the Clubhouse, which is a cozy space for breakfast, lunch, or a celebratory drink. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a victory game!

Visit Meadow Brook at 163 Kingstown Road on Route 138. The course is conveniently just 30 minutes from Providence, South County Beaches, Mohegan Sun, and Foxwoods casino.

It is the type, of course, that one can play over and over again with a different outcome each time. There is enough variety to challenge players of all levels!

Of interest to anyone who would want to improve their game, the club offers a “master’s class” of sorts where guests can pay for private sessions with golfing pro Peter Walsh. Numerous activities and charity events occur throughout the year, so if you’re interested in participating in a more organized game, check out the Kings Crossing webpage for their latest list of upcoming programs.
